"Thank you for your awesome subscription site! If a person with an online small business can't find the information they looking for on your site, it is my personal opinion that they don't need it.

You have done your homework and came up with a site that will be very helpful for any one in a small online business or thinking about going in business online for themselves.

Thank you!"

Thank you for such a fantastic resource! A subscription to your site has already quickly benefitted me. In particular, your articles and resources are some of the best I have come across.

The price of this membership absolutely can NOT be beat! (Just the excellent bonus software and ebooks you give are worth much more). As good as the bonuses are, its the content and great advice that keeps me coming back.

Example Of An Ineffective Web Site

Printer-Friendly Format

I am big fan of American Football. In particular the team for the area that I live in. The New England Patriots.

Yesterday while watching the game, the announcers made mention of a fund raiser involving the Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

Brady had won the MVP from the last Superbowl win and part of that winning was a brand new Cadillac XLR. Its a good looking convertible worth over $76,000.

Brady decided to give the car to his hometown High School for a fund raiser. Not only does the winner get the car, but all of the Superbowl players autographed it.

I thought I would check out the site and maybe buy one of the $25 raffle tickets for it. That's when the troubles began.

Mistake #1 - Name Game

I went to the web site which they mentioned on t.v. They mentioned "tombradyscar.com".

Well unfortunately, that should have been the address they used but instead they used tombradycar.com. The better option would be to have registered both variations and have them point to the same address.

That is what I did with my MarketingYourDVD.com site. I registered variations such as www.marketingyourdvds.com and www.marketyourdvd.com. I had these sound a like names point to the real address which is www.marketingyourdvd.com.

Unfortunately for tombradycar.com someone got wise and registered tombradyscar.com. It is now a search engine portal which is earning its owner some affiliate referral commissions.

Mistake #2 - Making Payment Difficult

Once you do actually find the site, it is very difficult to buy the tickets.

I was expecting an online order form to accept credit cards.

Instead they have a phone number to call to give the information. They also give an address to send a check in for the tickets.

It would take them all of 5 minutes to set up a Paypal account to accept credit payments.

In the meantime they are losing A LOT of potential income from this raffle. I can't even imagine the amount of traffic which was driven to the site with the mere mention of it during the game yesterday. Actually they mentioned it twice.

I have a feeling a lot of that traffic was wasted. I know I never did order my raffle ticket and I'm sure that wasn't the only sale they lost.

Its a shame because it would have been so easy to do it the correct way. I am sure it would have been much more profitable for them.
