Let Your Customers Connect For More Sales
Visitors who have unanswered questions don't typically become customers. Encouraging them with options to answer their questions is a great way to convert more sales. Their are a variety of ways to do that, including contact forms on your site or having your phone number within easy access for them to call. I came across another tool which you may consider adding to your site as well.
ThinkVoice Customer Contact Service
The ThinkVoice service is a combination of several services into one.
By placing the code provided to you on your site, any person visiting your site can attempt to contact you. It does it with a bit of a twist however. When they click on the button, a dialog box comes up requesting a call back to them. Once they press submit, you are instantly notified of the request of someone looking for information. ThinkVoice calls your phone first to inform you of the call. You can then choose to:
- make contact with them via phone
- answer their question via email
If you decide to take the call, ThinkVoice then calls the party back while you are still on the line. Your actual phone number is not revealed to them. If you are not available, you can receive an email of the question or have it sent to your cell phone as a text message to followup on. ThinkVoice also keeps a running log of the calls including:
- contact information
- time and phone number
- your notes on the call
Interesting Uses
One benefit of this service is that you can provide the link to your ThinkVoice service where ever you want to. Not just your web site but also in your:
- ebay auctions
- google adwords
- direct marketing campaigns
- newsletters
- email signatures, etc
This service has interesting potential. There are pluses and minutes to it. On the minus side, it is easier to have someone call your phone directly. It is a bit less intimidating and more direct. On the plus side, you may not have a dedicated business line yet. Or you don't have an 800 number. Since the ThinkVoice does not cost the customer anything, there is an added incentive there to be contacted.
The Price
ThinkVoice is currently set at $6.95 a month with .15 cents a minute for the actual calls. They offer a thirty day trial to see if it is right for you. If nothing else, this is an interesting example of an "App on Tap" (automated application program). This company is bound to be bought out by a large company at some point. If you see this feature built in to future Microsoft applications, you can remember that you read it here first. You can see a Flash demo of the service by clicking here.
