Accept Credit Cards Online With Your Web Site In Minutes Without A Merchant Account
Setting Up A Shopping Cart On Your Web Site
There once was a time not too long ago when it took quite a bit of effort to accept credit cards online. Between choosing a merchant account, getting accepted and setting it up... it took a lot of work. One great thing about the Internet is progress. The smarter business people always continue to make it easier to do business online. Now what used to take days and weeks, can now happen in a matter of minutes.
Paypal To The Rescue
Paypal has always been on the leading edge of making online payments easier. They did so well at it, that eBay decided they wanted to control that market. eBay bought paypal out and worked on making paypal's online tools and ease of use even better. If you haven't checked out Paypal in a while, its worth a revisit. They have really smoothed out a lot of things recently and added many new options. I've created a short flash video showing you exactly how easy it is to get a paypal account running. You will also see the quick steps to getting shopping cart buttons on your site for people to order from. There are samples of the buttons which I create in the video below. In the meantime, you can watch the 1:40 second video right now:

Obviously you want to read through all of Paypal's information to decide if they are right for you or not. I have found their fees to be VERY reasonable and ease of use is excellent as well. I would not recommend using Paypal for a digital product delivery unless you have taken the steps necessary to encrypt the download page information in the paypal link. Some sites do not do this and it is very easy to figure out what the download page for the product is.
