How I Nearly Doubled My Sales For One Product Last Week - In A Matter of Minutes
Increasing Orders
I had recently released a training DVD. It is being marketed in a variety of ways, both online and off. As orders come in for my DVD's, I will take a quick look at where they are being sent off to. By paying attention to where they were being shipped, I noticed an interesting thing. I was getting several orders a week that were being sent to businesses, not just individuals. I decided to try and market my efforts towards multiple orders from some of these customers. Instead of the usual invoice that I send out with them, I created a modified invoice specifically for businesses. It now states the benefits of why they may want to buy multiple copy for their employees (time savings, productivity etc) and I offer a 20% off incentive for future multiple orders.

A special order page was then created on my site with a "private" link. This allows them to order multiple copies in the future.I also made a point to personally contact these customers via email to get a interaction going with them. I kept it very low key without any sales hype at all. I offered any assistance with their purchase in the future and checked to see if there was anything else they needed. This has been quite interesting. I've had some great conversations with those customers. I was quickly able to secure several multiple quantity orders for the DVD's. This included a company with branch offices in several states that each ordered a some DVD's.
How To Apply This Pay attention to your current customers. See if there are ways that they can help you sell even more of your product. Since they are interested in what you are selling, there is a chance they know of other people who might be as well. By having open communication with them they can reveal opportunities that you might not have considered.
It is amazing what a quick email or phone follow up can produce. The nice thing about it? The customers I talked to appreciated the contact from me. I think it helped reinforce that there was a "real person" behind the product and not just some anonymous company. As far as my time was concerned, it was well spent. Not only has it lead to a nice boost in profits, it has brought my attention to other possibilities for the DVD's. I go into more depth about my DVD marketing strategies at www.MarketingYourDVD.com
