Screen Capture

I am sure at some point you have wanted to capture images from your computer screen.

Running this web site, I do it quite a bit.

My program of choice has always been Snagit but not everyone needs all of the bells and whistles that come along with this program.

There is also the free option of copying the whole screen with the "Print Screen" option and then pasting it into a graphics program such as Paint.

Thankfully some free alternatives are available that give you a bit more functionality. You definitely may want to give it a try.

You can download the free Hover Snap program here.

When you run the Hover Snap program, you will be presented with an easy to use screen.

The program lets you choose with a hot key whether to capture:

• the full screen (Printscreen)
• the current window (Alt + Printscreen)
• or a user defined area (Ctrl + Printscreen)

You can also set what format to save the screen captures in. Don't forget the article on graphic image formats to help you out.

Its a quick and easy program to use... and you certainly can't beat the price.
