"Thank you for your awesome subscription site! If a person with an online small business can't find the information they looking for on your site, it is my personal opinion that they don't need it.

You have done your homework and came up with a site that will be very helpful for any one in a small online business or thinking about going in business online for themselves.

Thank you!"

Thank you for such a fantastic resource! A subscription to your site has already quickly benefitted me. In particular, your articles and resources are some of the best I have come across.

The price of this membership absolutely can NOT be beat! (Just the excellent bonus software and ebooks you give are worth much more). As good as the bonuses are, its the content and great advice that keeps me coming back.

Secret Weapon For Increasing A Sales Page's Effectiveness

Tracking To Increase Sales

Think how beneficial it would be if you knew exactly what topics on a particular sales page interested visitors the most.

By knowing this, you could focus your sales page even more on the benefits which are of interest.

Smart web site owners with non-sales page types of sites know enough to check their stats logs.

By looking at the logs, they can see which pages are generating the most interest by the number of visitors going there every week.

The problem is, a sales page is typically not much more than one page and an order form.

Here is the way to track your visitors interest, even on a "one page" site.

What To Know More

The tactic is to create a one page sales letter which actually contains more pages, upon request. Its the "upon request" part that you will be tracking.

This is done by putting a link to "more information" after a section or topic on the sales page. When they click on the link for "more information", a smaller popup window can appear which elaborates more on the particular topic.

Let's say you had a sales page for a video tape about breeding Shetland ponies. Your tracking windows could work like this. Half way down your sales page you have this:

"In addition to all of the information listed above, you will also learn:

  • The income potential of breeding Shetland ponies - one reason to start this business is the amount of money to be made. We share with you what you can expect! (Click here for more info - please note this info comes up in a popup window so make sure any popup window blocker allows it)
  • "

You can either have an order link in the popup window itself or let them close the window to order. (I would test and track both ways to see which converts better).

Adapting Based On The Results

After you've gotten hundreds of visitors to the site, take a look at your stats logs.

See which pages people are clicking on to find out more information. You can then focus more of your selling points on your sales page towards the results you discover.

Some things to keep in mind:

  • Don't over do it with too many extra popup pages. I would keep it between a 5 - 10 of them myself.

  • Present interesting information on the pop up. This rewards people for looking for more information. If you provide zero extra content on the popup window then there is no motivation to click on any others which might interest them.

Once the results are in, you would want to give attention to more headlines on your site based on the topics which are drawing a lot of interest.

This is likely to have a positive effect on your sales letter ad copy.

This is an innovative way to be able to track your visitor interests so that you can make an even more powerful sales page.

Even small incremental changes to your conversion rate add up to extra profits you would have realized otherwise. Track, test and increase your profits.
