REAL RESULTS: Step By Step Plan To Cash In With Google

Google Cash

Make sure you read the prior articles before jumping in on this one. That way you understand where we are at in this series.

The Basic Concept

The beauty of this system is that it is very easy to implement. In fact, it usually takes me under a 1/2 an hour from start to finish to get another profit stream in place.

Here are the basic steps which I will explain in detail as we go along:

  • Find an affiliate product to promote
  • Get a google adwords account up and running
  • Investigate the keywords you want to use to send traffic to your site
  • Monitor the ad campaign (closely at first and then on occassion)
  • Make adjustments and then let it run automatically
  • Get paid

Joining An Affiliate Program

The google cash ebook outlines several different affiliate programs you can join to find products to promote.

These programs allow anyone selling a product to sign up. They can then offer affiliate commissions to anyone who sends them people who buy from them.

With all of the various affiliate programs out there, I pretty much stick to using Clickbank program.

Why?

I like clickbank because:

  • I have used them for 2+ years without any problem
  • They direct deposit my commissions twice a month straight to my bank account
  • It is extremely easy to promote a product using their link system
  • There are 10,000+ products to promote. (It is one of the most popular commercial affiliate programs out there).
  • They are reputable and I trust their stats (which are updated in real time)

It is free for anyone to signup as an affiliate. You can sign up for the Clickbank Affiliate program here. The only information they need is who you are and where to send your checks!

Choosing The Right Product

Once you have joined the clickbank affiliate program, you can now "go shopping" for the product that you would like to promote.

On the main clickbank screen, click on the "Shop" link up top:

This will bring up the clickbank marketplace.

If you look at the top of the screen, you will see categories of various products based on topic.

You can browse through these topics by clicking on them to see if any products catch your eye.

Keep in mind that the list of products is organized are ranked based on sales. So the number #1 product in the category is the top seller for that particular topic.

So Many Choices...

Yes on clickbank alone there are a lot of choices. Over 10,000 of them!

Here's my tip of the day.

I go after "high stress" products with as wide of an appeal as possible.

That means I specifically target products which help solve a very stressful situation from which people are looking for an instant "cure" to.

This helps to increase the desire and encourage a spontaneous purchase to help solve their problem.

Granted, not all of the products I promote fall under this category but I have had better success with these types of products.

Making The Choice

Usually I will scan the various categories and see if a particular product will catch my eye. If it looks like it has some possibilities, I will then check out the site thoroughly.

I want to make sure that the site I am thinking about promoting:

  • is professional in appearance
  • offers a good commission (40%+)
  • has good marketing and adcopy on the site to convert visitors

An Important Thing I Look For...

I want to make sure there are no "affiliate commission leaks" on the site. By this mean opportunities for people to order the product without me getting commssion for it.

The most common affiliate leak is the site which offers clickbank AND paypal on the site. When someone orders via paypal, I don't receive any commission.

Why on earth would I want to send traffic to a site if I wasn't getting credit for sales generated?

If a merchant feels this strongly that they need paypal, they should make a "clickbank only page" which clickbank affiliates can comfortably send their traffic to.

Another Important Thing...

There is also one other important thing to look for.

Since you will be advertising with google adwords, you need to realize that google does not allow you to advertise sites which have popup windows.

Google doesn't like popup windows. They will disable your ad campaign if they see that you are sending your traffic to sites which have them.

Some sites are getting smarter.

They have a "popup free" version of their site specifically for this reason. It goes to show you the power of google adwords when smart marketers are catering to sites which use google to promote their products.

Your Homework Assignment

Take a browse through the clickbank marketplace yourself.

See if you can come across some products which may be worthy of promoting.

In the next article, I will show you the product that I am promoting for this series and we'll get things in place to start promoting it.
