Autopilot Income Earning Me Hundreds A Week
In a recent article, I mentioned how I was earning some nice added income each month. You can read that article here if you haven't read it yet. This was being done completely on "autopilot". That means that once it was set up in place, I don't have to do anything except keep an eye on the numbers on occasion and watch the money come in. There are no order fulfillment tasks or even customer service issues. Here's how I go about it.
The Basics Behind The Concept
For those of you have already read the Google Cash ebook (which I reviewed here) then you already know most of the basis of this technique. Back when google announced it's adwords program, I immediately saw an opportunity. The adwords are the ads which appear on the right hand side of google search result listings as shown here:
The reason they are a big deal, is that it allows people to pay for the chance to have specifically targeted ads on the first pages of search page results. Since I was getting paid to send traffic to other people's sites as an affiliate, then this seemed like a golden opportunity. As long as the amount I had earned was more than what it costs me to pay for the ad, then I am ahead of the game. After experimenting with several programs, I realized that there was in fact the potential for profits. I have been earning money with google adwords ever since.
Getting Paid For Clicks Through Pay Per Clicks There are literally tens of thousands of web sites who will pay you to have you refer a customer to them. It really doesn't matter how you get people clicking over to the site. As long as its legal and the people end up buying something from the site, you get a percentage of the sale. Prior to adwords, people used many ways to send people through their affiliate links such as:
- Specific web sites set up to get listed on search engines. These one topic "mini sites" are specific towards one particular product or service. If they get a high position in the search engine, then they receive free traffic which you funnel towards the affiliate program. This is the preferable way to go, but not everyone can have the top spots on the search results.
- Ezine or Newsletter ads. People can run an ad in an online newsletter which they pay for. If the ad costs $100 but they get $200 in sales from it, then they are ahead of the game. The problem with this is monitoring the results, finding good advertising spots and contacting each ezine manually.
- Articles on their sites. If someone has a site focused on a particular topic, then they can work in the affiliate links more naturally into the context of the site. This still works but definitely a lot more work than a adword campaign.
The advantage to the adwords is that you control everything. You decide how much to pay, which keywords to pay for and what the ads will look like. If an ad isn't working you can simply pause or delete it and move on.
Why Should You Care? I am mentioning this to you because anyone is able to use this program to start generating some extra income. The risks are pretty minimal (which I'll explain later). You can watch the results in real time as the program is under way. If you see that your ads aren't profitable, then you simply stop those ads and try another product. The key to it is watching it very closely in the very beginning and following a few basic guidelines.
What Are The Rewards?
Finding the right programs to promote with adwords can mean hundreds of dollars a week in profit. At least that has been my experience. Does every adword campaign become profitable? No! What have been the risks to me? My worse campaigns have cost me in the area of $20 - $25 before I stopped them. I am pretty conservative when watching the results and that is the approach I recommend someone else to have also as they start out. On the other side of things, I have made thousands of dollars with successful campaigns. These are on going sources of income. Once they are up and running, I check them once a week or so just to make sure everything is still on track. The beauty is, once you have found a nice profit producing program, you move on to another while the first one continues to earn you money.
