Online Tool To Help Increase Sales
Adding The Personal Touch For Credibility You have probably seen this tactic on a sales letter style web site. As you scroll down the ad copy, it will end with the signature of the person selling the product. This little touch can add some personalization to the web page. It reinforces the fact that a real person stands behind the site and the product offered. Prior to now, these signatures were either created with a graphics program or they actually scanned in their handwriting into a graphic file. That file was then placed on their site. I don't recommend someone putting their real signature on a web site for obvious reasons. Now there is no need to anyways with this new online tool I came across. You simply type in whatever text you want and the tool will create a handwritten version of it. Here is an example signature that I created:
You simply create the handwriting in the size you want and preview it. Once you preview it, right click on the writing and chose "Save Picture As". You can then add it to your web page. Try this online tool yourself here. Getting Their Attention
This tool isn't strictly for adding a signature to your site however. Part of the challenge for any web site is to attract the attention of the visitors coming to it. Without getting their attention quickly, they are likely to keep on clicking onto another web site. Probably never to return! You can use this same online tool to create a popular effect used in direct mail marketing. You may have even seen this yourself. Marketers put what appears to be a hand written note on the marketing letter or the envelope itself. The reason for this is that it attracts the attention of the reader which encourages them to read the offer presented.
A similar look can be achieved on a web site as demonstrated with this graphic to the right.I simply used the vletter online tool to create the "handwriting". I then used the Snagit screen capture tool to capture and add some touches to the graphic. The graphic was then rotated (using snagit again) and saved to the site. As you can see, it definitely catches your attention. If it is applicable to your site, give a try and track your results. You may be surprised to see a bump up in your conversion to sales rate.
