"Thank you for your awesome subscription site! If a person with an online small business can't find the information they looking for on your site, it is my personal opinion that they don't need it.

You have done your homework and came up with a site that will be very helpful for any one in a small online business or thinking about going in business online for themselves.

Thank you!"

Thank you for such a fantastic resource! A subscription to your site has already quickly benefitted me. In particular, your articles and resources are some of the best I have come across.

The price of this membership absolutely can NOT be beat! (Just the excellent bonus software and ebooks you give are worth much more). As good as the bonuses are, its the content and great advice that keeps me coming back.

A Trend Worth Watching

Imagine seeing the potential of Ebay when it was first starting out several years back. Getting in early into some niche of that cultural phenomenon would be paying off HUGE rewards to you these days.

Ebay may be an extreme example, but there are other large trends in cultural thinking that continously happen. I know one right now that is absolute ripe to be harvested as it starts to grow.

Internet Everywhere

What's the next big thing that is just starting to get going as far as the internet is concerned?

One of the biggest is the wireless internet revolution that is just starting to get rolling.

I don't just mean a wireless network in your office, I'm talking on the road with your laptop, pda or even digital phone. Everywhere and anywhere.

As convenient as the Internet is, people are finding it absolutely essential to have access to it as much as possible. Business is becoming more and more reliant upon it.

Companies are hard at work breaking the barriers of where you can be with the internet.

Wireless Options

Currently, wireless access to the internet is mainly done in a small setting (home or business) with a wireless network. I have one at home and it works well. Besides my desktop, I have two laptops which can use the internet from other rooms in the house.

It is pretty darn convenient.

The other option in big cities is "hot spots". These are certain areas in towns or near business oriented hotels where you can access the internet by being in the area.

No need to find an internet cafe. You can sit in the lobby of the Marriott and surf the web. Want to check your email on your laptop or palmpilot? Its no problem when you are in a hot spot.

The Next Evolution

As fun as these things are, companies are feverishly working on even bigger solutions.

Instead of having internet access within 50 to 300 feet, they are working on 30 miles or more. They are working on "WiMax" for these longer distances.

How about even more distance?

How much more? How does world wide via satellite?

That's right, no matter where you are or what you are doing, they plan on giving people internet access.

Would that interest anyone? (I see a few hands raised out there :)

An Opportunity Waiting To Happen

I can think of quite a few possible opportunities someone would be smart to start working on:

  • Wireless guides - create ebooks or DVD's based on the new technology as it comes out. Don't shoot for the technical end of things. Keep the average consumer in mind. Explain things in normal terms not "geek speak".
  • Affiliate program reviews - this technology usually starts just under $100 and goes up from there. Sign up for some affiliate programs as the new products come out and start raking in the affiliate checks.

Want A Big Goal?

  • Become known as THE wireless portal site - get yourself branded as the site to go to find out the latest information and facts on emerging wireless trends

Above all else, I would focus on keeping it down to earth and practical. Let someone else become the tech guru. Focus on the average consumer, not the technophile.

I would set up news alerts to have new stories automatically emailed to me as they come out.

Someone could quickly educate themselves on the consumer end of things with the bits and pieces of information already available online. Your goal is to collect them all and put them in one convenient place.

A Perfect Market

This is a nice ripe market to take a look at.

These are people who are willing, even anxious, to get the newest technology. If they "only" have to spend $300 - $500 to have internet access everywhere, they aren't even likely to blink to pay for it.

Any takers?
