"Thank you for your awesome subscription site! If a person with an online small business can't find the information they looking for on your site, it is my personal opinion that they don't need it.
You have done your homework and came up with a site that will be very helpful for any one in a small online business or thinking about going in business online for themselves.
Thank you!"

Thank you for such a fantastic resource! A subscription to your site has already quickly benefitted me. In particular, your articles and resources are some of the best I have come across.
The price of this membership absolutely can NOT be beat! (Just the excellent bonus software and ebooks you give are worth much more). As good as the bonuses are, its the content and great advice that keeps me coming back.

Review of jvAlert - Is this Joint Venture private site for you?
Review of jvAlert
You may have already received an affiliate plug email recommending one of the latest big marketing ventures.
I am talking about an invitation to join the jvalert membership site. I received several "invitations" myself in the various ezines that I subscribe to.
Instead of sending out a blanket endorsement plug for the site, I thought I would share with you what it is all about.
You can make the decision if a membership could be right for you.
Concept Behind jvalert

jvalert
|
|
The jvalert site has been a few months in the making.
Several well known internet marketers had been approached a couple of months back on this project and have helped in forming the concept of it.
The jvalert site works like this:
- People can only join through "invitation only"
- There is a monthly fee to be a member
- Becoming a member allows you access to post your own joint venture proposal or be notified of new ones as they emerge.
- There is a private forum for joint venture discussions
"Invitation Only" To Join jvalert
Because you can only join "through an invitation only" simply going to the site itself won't do much for you.
You need to be sent there via an affiliate link. If you go to the main site without using the link, you can not sign up. It simply tells you to use the link provided for you from where ever you heard about it.
For those interested in taking a look, you can check out the real site via my "invitation" for you to the site (also known as my affiliate link).
In the interest of full disclosure, the "personal" letter from me on the site is in fact generated automatically. I didn't write it.
This interesting signup process creates a bit of an exclusive feeling to it. It also helps ensure that the affiliates for the program get compensated.
Benefits To Members of jvalert
Once joined, you fill in your "profile". Your name, web site or product etc.
You can look for a joint venture to take part in or try promoting your own joint venture project.
You can be notified via email the instant a new jv proposal is put out. (Filtering out of specific types of jv proposals is possible if you have no interest. MLM proposals for example).
You are also free to look through the pages of jv proposal listings.
jvalert Is Not For Everyone
I will tell you up front, a membership for jvalert is not for everyone.
You have to be "at the right place" with your online business. If you have no intention of trying to work on a joint venture with someone else, then obviously it makes no sense to join.
If you want a joint venture later down the road, you may get everything together first before joining on.
...But jvalert Might Be For You
On the other hand, if you might be at that point where you have a jv to offer. Or perhaps looking for someone else's deal to promote. Then you may want to look at it further.
There is no doubt there are "big names" with some real jv potential involved in this site. These are people with millions of newsletter subscribers that they could push your offer pretty hard if it was solid enough.
You also have the opportunity to get in at the beginning of other jv deals as they are forming.
It can make a huge difference if you are one of the first people involved in the initial rollout a jv publicity push. Because you have first chance at exposing your subscribers to a roll out, you stand to benefit quite a bit more.
Variety Of JV Possibilities
There is a variety of joint venture deals you can take work on in the forum or via a jv posting:
- Affiliate programs to endorse
- Ezine adswap jv's - trade an ezine ad for space in your ezine
- Free Product Giveaways - offer rebrandable ebooks for others to give away and mutually profit from
- Optin List JV's - generate traffic together with other optin lists
Going through here may give you ideas about jv opportunities you hadn't even considered in the past.
The Price Of Membership
They are currently offering a charter membership at the time that this article was written.
You get access to the site for $65 a month for as long as you stay subscribed. They have every intention of raising it to $97 shortly.
That is a pretty steep price for a lot of people.
This is intentional.
By keeping the membership fee high, they are creating a filter of sorts. Basically if someone is a freebie seeker, they won't be making the investment of a membership.
If someone is serious about their product or business, then they are more apt to make the investment for the return it could provide.
Some Of The Debate About jvalerts
The argument has been made that this limits the availability of the potential to only those who could afford it. It perhaps limits those who needs the services the most.
I believe some of the biggest appeal of the site is the fact that you have access to some very big potential jv partners. If the site gets swamped by a lot of "low ball" requests for jv deals, then it will detract from its effectiveness.
Yes, its a balancing act.
The price will probably help filter out some of the people who are not serious about their business.
Just remember, nothing is preventing you from doing a j.v. deal on your own! They have been made long before this site ever exists and many will continue to occur whether or not the site succeeds.
What it does provide is a very direct forum to present a j.v. concept to a membership that has proven their willingness to be there by paying for the honor.
It also provides you the opportunity to have access to brand new jv deals that are about to come out.
Whether that is of use to you or not is your decision.
Internet Marketing JV's Only?
I was pleasantly surprised to see other jv proposals besides the expected internet marketing ones. By being diversified, it could make for some interesting partnerships.
Adapting and Improving
One issue they will face is how to make sure that they quality of offers remains consistently high? If this doesn't happen then it certainly loses its appeal for many people.
The site is busy being adapted to be an even stronger tool. The site owners appear responsive to the feedback and have already implemented some suggestions offered to them.
My Personal Experience With jvalert
The timing of jvalerts launch is pretty ironic for me. I am in the middle of working on a big jv project right now. Because of that, I felt the need to check it out.
As of yet I have not posted my jv proposal in the forum...
I am finishing up the details of it. I also want to approach some potential partners first, personally. It may help now that I have a direct line with some of them through the forum.
I have however already added a few potential partners to my jv project list. I was contacted within a day by 3 people who emailed me through the forum. After some discussions, they have already come on board for the project I am working on.
That was pretty amazing to me.
It already has the potential of having more than paid for itself because of this.
This interaction was actually quite an eye opener because it showed to me the calibre and mindset of the people who are members. I have a favorable impression so far and look forward to the next month or so to see how things develop.
Final Evaluation
If your business is not at the right stages for jv deals then obviously there is not a lot to gain from a membership to this site. The monthly fee may be quite a bit of money and would make no sense to you unless you were trying to develope something further down the road.
If you were about to roll out a joint venture deal, I would definitely recommend checking out the jvalerts site.
I have no doubts that you could find some willing j.v. partners to work with if your offer was rewarding enough.
Just make sure you think things through completely before throwing a blanket jv offer out there. If you really want the help of a big name or two, they might want more of an exclusive chance at your rollout. There is good reason to put a lot of thought into the jv deal you are willing to offer...
You could also benefit if you are an ezine editor. The ability to be part of initial rolls which are offered there could pay out nicely.
Making one connection because of this site has the potential of paying you back for your membership many, many times over. The hardest part may be deciding if you want to "accept the invitation" to join.
This site thrives on your feedback! Please let me know if you have thoughts or comments about this article. I read everything. It helps me improve the direction of this site.
