Do you start up an FTP program each time you want to transfer files to your website?

If you are using Internet Explorer, you are probably wasting your time.

Many people don't realize that they can FTP to and from their site right from their browser. It is extremely simple.

In the address bar (where you normally type in a web site address), simply type in the ftp address of your site. It is typically:

ftp.yoursite.com

It will then prompt you to enter your ftp login account information. This should be the info that you use to log into your web hosting account.

Once you have the ftp window open you can explore your website's files right from your browser window.

Then open up a new Window's Explorer window by pressing "Windows key" + "E" at the same time.

Use this window to click and drag files back and forth between your computer and the web server.
