Getting the most out of the outstanding free google toolbar program.

In a recent article I wrote about reciprocal linking software, I had mentioned how important it is to try and get high traffic sites to link to you.

The easiest way to find out how highly ranked a particular web site is ranked is by using the free google toolbar found here. If you haven't installed it yet, I highly recommend it.

The toolbar becomes part of your browser window as shown here:

As you can see in the image above, there is a "Page Rank" section which shows you how popular this particular site is. This is a very important consideration when you are looking for sites to link to you. The higher their page rank, the more google gives you credit for them linking to you.

In this case, CNN is page ranked at 9/10 (9 out of 10). This indicates it is a high traffic site with many links back to it.

Other Features Of The Google Toolbar

Some of the features of the google toolbar let you:

• Search google instantly from the browser without going to google.com
• Search for a particular term not just on all web pages, but on one particular page only
• Find out site contact information with one click
• Configure whether new searches appear in different windows

If you had previously installed the google toolbar, you want to make sure you have the latest version as they recently added some useful features.

New features in the 2.0 Beta include:

• Autofill option to fill out your information on web pages automatically if you choose to
• Pop up window blocker
