Its important to have other sites linking to your site. This is one of the best ways to get higher search engine listings.

Google for example takes this as a very good sign that you have something of interest to other sites. This leads to higher search engine listings for your site.

Truthfully it can be pretty much a pain to manually find linking partners to approach. It doesn't have to be that difficult however because software can dramatically automate that process. (I love automation!).

Arelis is designed to find linking partners and manage the whole operation very effectively. The Arelis software helps you:

• Finds possible linking partners based on the keywords you enter
• Identify sites that link to your competitors which may be worth approaching yourself
• Automatically find the contact information including email address of the site owner
• Create template email requests for reciprocal links to send out
• Automatically set up a reciprocal link page which keeps track of who links back to you.
• Recheck your linking partners to see if they still link to you. If not, then you can send an email automatically or have the program remove their link from your page

A Word Of Caution

I would not recommend simply sending out template emails using Arelis. Instead, I manually write out a personalized email to potential linking partners. If they are important enough, I will call them. (Yes, the phone still works even with all of this internet business going on!).

If you blast out 50 template emails it is likely to be interpreted as spam. If a site is important enough to get a link from, they are worth the extra effort to make the contact manually.
